The Dominator Interdictor-class Star Destroyer is a Tier V Support ship hailing from the Galactic Empire. It boasts an impressive array of close defense firepower and an interdictor screen that's basically better than close defense (if lag is bad). However, bullets are its weakness.


In-game Description[]

A star destroyer with interdiction technology mounted on it, it could pull enemy ships out of hyperspace and also prevent ships from going into hyperspace. As a tradeoff, it lost some heavy turbolasers and ion cannons. They were expensive but a good counter to the hit and run tactics of the Rebel Alliance. In game, it features the unique ability to jam all missiles within an aura, causing them to spin off in random directions and become easy targets for the absurd amount of point defense on it.

Tactical Analysis[]

The Dominator is the bane of existence for any carrier. It can tear through wings like its nothing, and one alone is enough to generate the actions known as toxicity. This ship best performs on maps like UNSC Moon 1 and Phantom Wreck, though other maps are possible. Playing it is kind of easy. Move to something big enough to cover you, hit t then just profit. This ship is the only one with good PD for an Imperial ship as the rest just suck. While you may have a lot of it, you certainly aren't immune to being swarmed by multiple carriers or concentrated fire.

Counter[]

The Dominator, while seemingly invulnerable to air attacks, is not. Given enough effort, you will be able to take it down with a carrier, though not recommended. It's best to send something like a cloaker to nuke it when its field is either recharging or the user doesn't know of your presence (or if they are too busy with other stuff like bragging how they have an unbeatable aa field). It is fragile, not meant for brawling. Use missiles on it when the Interdiction Field deactivates if you wish, should it be out in the open.
Just shoot it until it ceases to exist basically.

You can fire some missiles, but not all to make the user activate the field, then when it deactivates, send in the rest of your missiles. It can work, and if it does, help in taking this ship down a lot.
